Man vomits on Downtown Line MRT train, liquid seen streaming down carriage
He was eventually helped out of the train by station staff.
A man was seen vomiting in a Downtown Line MRT train carriage, to the chagrin of the other passengers.
Footage of the incident was uploaded to Facebook on Oct. 31.
It showed the man leaning against one of the train's windows with liquid running down his shirt.
He was apparently throwing up on the seats.
Liquid, apparently originating from the man's regurgitation, streamed along the floor of the carriage.
According to the train's announcement in the video, the incident appeared to have occurred as the train was pulling into Bedok Reservoir station.
Man stayed on the train until Expo
In response to Mothership's queries, a SBS Transit spokesperson, Grace Wu, said they were alerted to the incident at 3:45pm on Oct. 31.
"When the train arrived at the Expo station, our staff and cleaners boarded it and found a gentleman who required assistance," Wu said.
The spokesperson confirmed that the man had vomited onboard and he was guided out of the train by station staff.
Meanwhile, the cleaning team stayed on to clean up the affected cabin.
The train was also sent for thorough cleaning and disinfection.
