M'sia govt offers 60% discount for traffic summons fines

Have you been slapped with a traffic summons fine in Malaysia?

The government is offering, if not full redemption, a measure of forgiveness.

The current Madani government will offer a special 60 per cent discount for traffic summons, as part of its second anniversary and the 2024 Public Sector Reform Conference.

The Road Transport Department of Malaysia will set up booths at the event, which will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Nov. 22 to 24, 2024.

Attendees can pay off their traffic fines, with the discount.

Other riders can also exchange their old helmets for new ones.

The event has a bunch of other attractions, such as a jobs fair, talks on pensions and retirement plans, and consultations on government funding schemes.

But if you have been a very naughty driver, the discount may appeal to you the most.
