Man, 28, sent to hospital after lorry hit van at Bedok Reservoir junction
Police investigations are ongoing.
A lorry that appeared to run a red light at a traffic junction near Bedok Reservoir on Nov. 5, T-boned a van and sent it flying.
The 28-year-old van driver was sent to hospital as a result.
The accident
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to an accident at about 3:30pm involving a van and a lorry at the junction of Bedok Reservoir Road and Kaki Bukit Road 4.
Dashcam footage shared to the "Roads.SG" Facebook group on Nov. 7 showed a blue-and-grey lorry approaching a junction where a red light was displayed.
As it drove through the junction, the lorry hit a the side of the white van that was passing through.
The collision sent the van flying.
It flipped over before landing on its side.
The lorry also came to a halt in the middle of the junction, with debris scattered across the road.
A man in a helmet was seen running across the junction to check on the van driver.
He was joined by the lorry driver, another man in a helmet and a cyclist.
Van driver, 28, sent to hospital
Police told Mothership that a 28- year-old male van driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
SCDF said that one person was conveyed to Changi General Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
