Furniture store Lim's to close both Holland Village & Joo Chiat outlets by early 2025 after 50 years
End of an era.
Local furniture and decor brand Lim's, a staple at Holland Village Shopping Centre, will permanently close after 50 years.
Its two Holland Village and Joo Chiat stores will shut by early 2025. The brand did not mention a specific date for its closure.
In a series of Instagram posts on Nov. 6, the late founder's three daughters shared that "saying goodbye was not an easy decision", but it was time for them to move on.
"This journey has been incredible with countless stories told through our pieces and the joy we've brought to our customer's homes.
But alas, all good things will come to an end."
Legacy
The daughters shared that their late father was devoted to growing Lim's into Singapore's go-to furniture and decor stores.
"From sourcing trips, forging relations with craftsmen, to getting to know our customers, he has set the foundation of curating pieces we would use in our family home which has remained true till today," one post said.
The daughters added that the business had shaped their lives.
"On behalf of our late father, we would like to extend our thanks for letting Lim's into your homes. These memories will always be inscribed in our hearts and we hope you'll remember us just as fondly."
Lim's will hold its closing sale at its Holland Village and Joo Chiat stores from 10am to 7pm.
