Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau & Giorgia Meloni miss out on G20 group photo
They later took a photo together.
President Joe Biden's final G20 summit as U.S. president ended up with him missing the iconic G20 photo.
According to AP News, U.S. officials attributed this error to 'logistical issues'.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also missed the same photoshoot.
The summit was held in Rio de Janerio, Brazil on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024.
According to The Guardian, the world leaders gathered and posed in front of the world-famous Sugarloaf Mountain.
Leaders including Chinese president Xi Jinping and Indian prime minister Narendra Modi were also present. Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong was also in the photo.
However, by the time Biden and Trudeau arrived, they had missed the photoshoot.
Biden, Trudeau, and Meloni then took a separate photo together.
Russian president Vladimir Putin did not appear at the G20 summit, with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov appearing instead.
