A "Game of Thrones" feature-length film is currently in the works by Warner Bros, it seems.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the project is in a "very early stage" of development, with no director, writer or cast attached as yet.
However, the studio appears to be keen on bringing the dark fantasy setting to the big screen.
It is currently not clear what the feature film will be based on.
Back in 2014, George RR Martin, the author of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series of books on which "Game of Thrones" is based, had suggested to THR the possibility of concluding the series with a feature film.
Game of Thrones
"Game of Thrones" is a television show that ran on HBO from 2011 to 2019, set in the dark fantasy world of Westeros.
Though its final season received a great deal of criticism, the show was a smash hit.
In 2022, HBO launched "House of the Dragon", a prequel series that recently aired its second season.
There is another prequel series, set to be released in 2025, called "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms".
