To usher in the new year and SG60, countdown celebrations will take place across the island, from Marina Bay and Sentosa to heartland sites.

Here's a quick summary of what you can look out for.

City centre

Fireworks displays will be held at Marina Bay, Sentosa, and — for the first time — the Singapore Sports Hub.

The Sports Hub will feature a 15-minute long fireworks show, the longest single display on the island.

If you're looking for something a little more futuristic, there'll also be a countdown drone show over the Singapore River at Clarke Quay, alongside live performances by local musicians.

Head over to the Orchard and Somerset area for a night flea market at Orchard Road Pedestrian Mall, a kid-friendly countdown festival at Somerset Youth Park with magic shows and face-painting, and a funhouse at Trifecta with acrobatic performances, tarot card reading, live music and more.

While the details are yet to be confirmed, expected programmes include carnivals, performances, and fireworks and drone shows.

More information will be released on the PA website from December.

Migrant worker dormitories

In collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower, countdown festivities will also be held for migrant workers.

Programmes will be held at the Kranji, Penjuru, Terusan, Tuas South, Sembawang, and Soon Lee Recreation Clubs (RCs), with fireworks and pyrotechnic displays at the first two.

There'll also be lucky draws, free food, live performances, and a dance party.

In addition to the RCs, celebrations will be held at over 10 dormitories in Singapore, with games, performances, and snacks.
