Design Orchard Christmas tree catches on fire
SCDF vehicles and personnel were spotted at the scene.

A Christmas tree on top of the Design Orchard building caught fire at around 9:30pm on Nov. 23, 2024.

Videos of the incident showed the tree engulfed in orange flames.
Several Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Red Rhino vehicles were also spotted on site.

Firefighters were also seen milling around the bottom of the building.

A Christmas tree on top of Design Orchard was sponsored by Italian confectionary company Ferrero Rocher, according to an Instagram post, although it is unclear if it is the same tree that caught fire.
A spokesperson from the SCDF said, in response to queries from Mothership:
"On 23 November 2024 at about 9:30pm, SCDF was alerted to a fire at 250 Orchard Road.
The fire involved a Christmas tree at the rooftop of the building.
SCDF extinguished the fire with two hosereels.
No ambulance assistance was required.
The cause of the fire is under investigation."
