A car was seen beating a red traffic light and cutting through traffic travelling perpendicular to it along Nicoll Highway.

It nearly collided with a motorcycle, entering the junction as the traffic light turned green.

The incident took place at the junction of Nicoll Highway, Raffles Boulevard and Bras Basah Road.

A video of the near-miss was uploaded to Facebook on Nov. 23 and appeared to be taken from the dashcam of another car behind the motorcycle.

What did the video show?

The video shows the motorcyclist and another black car in front starting to move forward on Nicoll Highway at the junction, in the direction of Fullerton Hotel, as the traffic has turned green.

Suddenly, a Toyota Altis can be seen cutting across at high speed from Bras Basah Road before turning right sharply onto Nicoll Highway.

It nearly collides with a motorcyclist and the pillion rider while doing so.

Traffic on the first two lanes of Nicoll Highway is also brought to a brief stop by the Toyota Altis' actions.

Subsequently, the video cuts to showing another motorcyclist having pulled up beside the Toyota Altis, presumably to speak to the driver about their actions before both of them turn right.

The video also claimed that the Toyota Altis was a private hire car.

Many commentators reacted to the video by slamming the driver for their actions.

Some also called for the driver to be reported to the Traffic Police.
