A two-year-old boy died after he was allegedly attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Sabah, Malaysia on Nov. 3.
He was found covered in bite marks and blood, according to Malaysia media Sin Chew Daily.
After the child was found, he was rushed to hospital for treatment, but died on the way.
A video of the victim was also reportedly circulated.
The district police chief confirmed that the deceased child was a local, and that the case was classified as sudden death.
The police station will work with local authorities to conduct an operation regarding the wild dogs and ensure residents' safety, he added according to Malay Mail.
The chief also urged members of the public not to circulate the video out of consideration for the victim's family.
Investigations are ongoing.
