The fan event will showcase a star-studded lineup of Hollywood, K-drama and J-drama celebrities.

Speaking to the media at the Disney Content Showcase on Nov. 20, Mackie shared about his upcoming role in "Captain America: Brave New World".

The film is set to be the fourth instalment in the Captain America series.

It is scheduled for release in Singapore on Feb. 13, 2025.

Found out a lot through leaks

Stepping into the lead role as the new Captain America, Mackie candidly shared that most of the Marvel leaks came from friends he has worked with.

Geeking out with Chris Evans

Speaking about leaks, Mackie recounted reading the last two pages of the "Avengers: Endgame" script after watching football one night with none other than Chris Evans, the OG Cap.

This, mind you, happened during the time they were filming "Captain America: Civil War" — about three years before "Avengers: Endgame" was released.

Towards the end of the film, the original Captain America Steve Rogers (played by Evans) passed his shield to Sam Wilson or Falcon (played by Mackie).

This momentous event made Wilson the successor of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Mackie said: "[Evans] gave me the last two pages of [Avengers: Endgame], and when I read it we just hugged each other and jumped around in a circle".

It all happened at Evan's basement which Mackie described as "really cool".

What to look forward to in the new Marvel film

Mackie humorously shared that he's most excited for fans to see him "kicking ass" in the upcoming film.

"I'm most excited for y'all to see me kicking ass. I kick a lot [in the film]," he said with a cheeky grin.

In an alternate Marvel universe...

If Mackie could be another character in the Marvel universe, he would choose none other than the Incredible Hulk.

Who would have guessed that the "Captain America" star is a big Hulk fan?

For Mackie, the Hulk is his "favourite character of all time”.

“I’ve always been a Hulk fan,” he recalled, reminiscing about watching "Hulk TV" show with Lou Ferrigno as a kid.

“I just always loved the Hulk. He’s badass.”

A late start with comics

Oh and if you didn't know, Mackie has never grown up reading comic books.

Instead, he was more into cartoons like "Tom and Jerry" and "Teen Titans".

He shared that it wasn’t until later in life when he had kids, that he got into reading comics.

The more you know.
