Accident near Woodlands Checkpoint: Boy, 8 & woman, 36 sent to hospital
The red car's front passenger's airbag was deployed.
A 36-year-old female driver and her passenger, an eight-year-old boy, were conveyed to the hospital following a road traffic accident in Singapore at around midnight on Nov. 22.
The accident involved three cars and took place along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards Woodlands Checkpoint, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
Investigations are ongoing.
Video of accident
A video of the aftermath of the incident was posted the same day in the Malaysia-Singapore Border Crossers Facebook group.
A red car and two white cars were seen stationary on the road.
Debris and a car tyre, apparently a result of the accident, were seen strewn on the ground.
The red car's front passenger airbag was deployed, while the rear of one of the white cars to its left was visibly damaged.
A young child could also be seen sitting next to what appeared to be a red substance on the road.
Motorcyclists had to slow down to manoeuvre their way around the stationary vehicles and obstacles on the road.
In the comments section, the user who posted the video said an off-duty medic was comforting the boy.
"The kid [was traumatised] and looked blur when we talked to him," she said.
Mothership has reached out to the video's owner for more information.
