A pair of tuxedo cat brothers died in separate traffic accidents at Marine Parade within the span of a few days.

The first cat — BatBat — died on Nov. 16 after supposedly being hit by a vehicle.

And just two days later, his brother passed away in the same way, around the same spot.

The series of tragic events was shared on Facebook by community cat page, Cats of Marine Terrace.

The feeders are currently seeking witnesses or photos and footage of the incidents.

The first death

On Nov. 16, BatBat was allegedly hit by a car and passed on at around midnight.

Witnesses saw a car driving "very fast" along the road and hitting the tuxedo cat, according to the post.

But when confronted by passers-by, the driver allegedly insisted that he did not hit the cat, and appeared angry.

A police report was lodged after a witness shared that the driver had "purposely [sped] up".

The feeders then expressed a desire to find his brother a home "so he can avoid the same fate", and asked for potential fosterers or adopters to come forward.

The second death

But on Nov. 18, just two days later, BatBat's brother died in another traffic accident in the evening.

He had not been eating and was looking for his brother over the past few days, the post said.

Earlier that evening, his feeder was "very happy" to see him walking over to her and eating his dinner.

But around half an hour later, while she was feeding some other cats nearby, she heard a commotion.

She went over and saw the cat's body lying on the road.

"We are unsure what makes him go back to the same spot and met with a car accident. We are still trying to find out from the people around what exactly happened," the page said.

They added that they had just found a fosterer or adopter for the bereaved cat, and that they were "so close to bringing him back".
