Woman, 24, arrested after allegedly stealing S$39 laxatives from Toa Payoh store the 3rd time
Same sh*t, different day.
A 24-year-old woman allegedly swiped a box of laxatives from a store along Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.
She was eventually caught by the police, the police said in a news release on Oct. 22.
Laxatives worth S$39
The woman supposedly stole laxatives worth about S$39 on Aug. 26.
She ended up being caught on camera and was arrested three days later.
Her arrest surfaced her suspected involvement in two similar cases prior to the Aug. 26 incident.
On Aug. 13, she had allegedly stolen another box of laxative worth about S$39.
She allegedly did the same again on Aug. 22.
Potty theft
The woman will be charged with three counts of theft.
If convicted, she could be jailed up to seven years and fined.
Her case was presented alongside 18 other incidents of theft in the police press release, which involved the stealing of shoes, personal care products, alcohol, a power bank, and museum merchandise.
The police reminded the public that one might walk out of a store successfully with stolen goods, but one "will still be caught eventually".
