A woman in Singapore was seen allegedly stealing bottles of juices at a shop in the Great World shopping mall on Oct. 2.

Speaking to Mothership, a spokesperson from Singapore cold-pressed juice brand Re.juve said the incident occurred at 8:12pm at its outlet at 1 Kim Seng Promenade.

A video of the shop's CCTV footage shared on Instagram on Oct. 7 showed a Caucasian woman taking a bottle of juice while making payment for 14 other items.

Allegedly took two bottles from counter when staff was not looking

In the video, the woman could be seen standing in front of the counter while a staff member was assisting her.

The woman then took a bottle of juice from a fridge behind her and placed it on the counter.

When the staff walked behind her to return to the cashier, the woman reached out and stealthily grabbed another bottle of juice from the counter while the staff was not looking.

She then slipped it into the tote bag she was carrying.

While the staff scanned the items, the woman opened another bag which was slung in front of her, seemingly to take something out.

The clip then cut off.

In its Instagram caption, the business wrote: "Please don't steal from us, we’re a small business."

The business confirmed that she had allegedly taken two bottles of the "Turmeric Ginger Shots", one of the brand's bestsellers, which costs S$4 each.

"Each time the staff wasn't looking, she slipped one shot into her bag, doing this twice," the spokesperson said.

The first "shot" which was allegedly stolen was not shown in the brand's Instagram video on Oct. 7.

However, the shop shared footage of this first act with Mothership, showing the woman drinking what appeared to be a sample offered by the staff, before taking a bottle placed at the counter and putting it in her tote bag.

Bought 14 items worth S$69

According to the spokesperson, the woman had not been seen at the outlet prior to the incident.

"She seemed to know what she was doing, paying with cash," the spokesperson added.

The spokesperson said the woman was in the shop for less than 10 minutes.

She had also paid S$69.05 for 14 items — eight bottles of juices and six bottles of shots.

The staff only noticed the juices were missing while organising the fridge, not long after the woman left.

In response to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed that a report was lodged.

Investigations are ongoing.
