Jay Chou fan gives birth while queueing to attend his concert in Kuala Lumpur

A concertgoer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, went into labour outside the stadium right before Jay Chou's performance started on Oct. 26.

The incident, caught on Xiaohongshu and Douyin, showed a team of medical officers bringing the woman to an ambulance on a stretcher.

In another video, people who appeared to be concert staff can be seen holding up a sheet to protect the woman's modesty.

“We thought she fainted, but after the concert, we saw the news and found out that she gave birth on the spot,” user @Angel_1122 wrote on Douyin.

People can be seen craning their necks towards the woman, with some clapping with their merchandise.

Irresponsible parenting?

Many were amused to see the lengths the woman would go to, just to see Jay Chou.

A user joked that in 10 years, the woman would tell her child that they were the reason she missed the concert:

Others criticised her for putting her own health and her child's wellbeing at risk for going to a concert so near her due date.
