Boy, 3, on Canberra HDB block ledge: Woman, 25, assisting in police investigations for negligence
A man climbed onto the ledge to rescue the child.
A 25-year-old woman is assisting in police investigations after a three-year-old boy ended up standing on a third-floor ledge outside a window of a Housing and Development Board (HDB) block flat in Canberra on Oct. 20.
Police confirmed with Mothership that they received a call on Sunday for assistance at Block 350C Canberra Road at about 11:50am.
The boy was brought to safety by a member of the public before police officers arrived.
A video of the rescue was captured and uploaded to Facebook.
It showed a man walking along the ledge to save the child.
Four other men on the ground were holding out a blanket below the child.
The child was conveyed to KK Women's and Children's Hospital as a precautionary measure, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
Police told Mothership that a 25-year-old woman is assisting with police investigations into a case of negligent act.
Police investigations are ongoing.
