Woman, 24, allegedly punched by 2 men outside Suntec club with 3 teeth knocked loose

Concerned that her friend was drunk, a 24-year-old woman attempted to send her home.

But as she tried to usher the other woman into a taxi, two men allegedly punched her multiple times, knocking loose three of her teeth.

The woman, identified only as S, reportedly went to the hospital afterwards.

Photos shared with Mothership showed S with a bloodied lower lip and bruising on her face.

"No f*cking standard, hit [an] innocent girl for no reason and escaped," wrote one of S's friends in an Instagram post.

"My friend had to be sent to the hospital straight after, imagine how hard they beat her?!?!"

Birthday party gone wrong

One of S's friends, who goes by Alexi, told Mothership that the incident happened on Oct. 15, at Club Vox at Suntec City.

S's friend, who was identified only as C, was holding her birthday party there.

At around 3:26am, C was "super drunk and incoherent". S wanted to send her home as they lived in the same condominium complex.

But when she entered the taxi together with C, a man tried to "drag C out".

In another account shared on social media, the man had allegedly demanded that she bring C back up to the club to continue drinking.

When S insisted on sending her home, and assured him that she would send the other woman home safely, the man threatened to "take out [his] ring".

He then allegedly punched her in the face multiple times before walking away.

Second assault

A second man then ran towards the taxi and asked C — the birthday girl — if she was OK.

He asked if the first man had hit her. When C said no, the second man also allegedly began to punch S in the face and mouth.

At the end of the assault, three of her teeth had been knocked loose, and she was bleeding over the mouth, Alexi said.

She also had to be treated at the hospital.

Alexi claimed that the two men had also allegedly beaten up other girls, with some having come forward to report similar incidents.

Sharing this account, she said, would hopefully help to raise awareness, and remind other women stay alert and be careful when out drinking.

SPF's response

In response to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed that they received a call for assistance at around 3:30am on Oct. 15 at 7 Temasek Boulevard.

A 24-year-old woman sustained minor injuries, and a 22-year-old man was arrested for breach of peace, the police said.

The 22-year-old man, and two other men aged 25 and 26, are assisting with investigations for voluntarily causing hurt.

Police investigations are ongoing.
