A passerby walking along 1 Yuan Ching Road on Oct. 5 night was stopped in his tracks by the sight of blood.

It turned out that the blood originated from an alleged beating involving four men ganging up on one man behind SuperBowl Jurong.

The group of alleged assailants apparently consisted of four truck drivers, while the victim was a forklift driver, according to Shin Min Daily News.

It was reported that the assault apparently involved the use of a metal rod.

The victim was seen lying on the ground, with his head bleeding, and his vest stained with blood, the witness observed.

The passerby called out for the assault to stop.

When the group ignored him, he called the police.

Reportedly molested one of his assaulter's girl friend

The victim's friend told Shin Min that the victim was waiting outside a toilet when his would-be attackers apparently passed by with a female companion in tow.

The victim supposedly glanced at the woman.

Noticing this, the truck drivers asked him what he was looking at.

He responded by asking why he could not look.

That was when the group allegedly assaulted him.

According to Shin Min, the woman had reportedly told the group that the man had molested her.

The victim's friend said the man worked as a forklift driver and he happened to be having a meal with a group of friends when the incident occurred.

He also denied that the man who was beaten had molested anyone.

Assailants arrested

The police told Mothership that they received a call for assistance at about 8:05pm.

A 41-year-old man was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

Two men and a woman, aged between 32 and 42, were arrested for affray.

Two other men, aged 40 and 35, were also arrested for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon and riotous behaviour respectively.

Police investigations are ongoing.
