Man, 26, believed to be a tourist, found dead in Lavender hotel

A 26-year-old man was found dead in a room at Hotel Boss in the Lavender area on Oct. 4,

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they received a call for assistance at 500 Jalan Sultan, the address of the hotel, at around 5:40pm on Friday.

A man was found unresponsive in the room.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred on the 19th floor of the hotel, according to Shin Min Daily News.

Police officers were seen at the scene for at least five hours until about 10pm.

A blue suitcase was seen being loaded into a police car.

The item was believed to have been taken from the deceased’s room.

The man reportedly collapsed in the room, which prompted the hotel manager to call the police.

Based on preliminary investigations, police do not suspect foul play.
