Are you looking for a blood-curdling encounter this Halloween?

Or are you an adrenaline junkie ready to try out spine-chilling rides at an amusement park just outside Singapore?

If your answer to either (or both) is yes, be prepared for hair-raising excitement at the Nights of Fright 10 (NOF10) at the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park in Malaysia.

From now till Oct. 31, expect to be spooked with eight haunted houses, one haunted theatre, four scare zones, 11 thrill rides, two show stages and 400 eerie characters.

About NOF10

For the uninitiated, Sunway Lagoon is located a short 15-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur, or a four to five-hour drive from Singapore.

Spanning around 36 hectares in Sunway City, the park is around 1.5 times larger than the only theme park in Singapore and has what it takes to satiate the average thrill-seeker’s thirst for adventure.

NOF10 is the 10th instalment of the park’s annual Halloween event, which turns the theme park into a haunted land between 7:30pm to 11:30pm from Fridays to Sundays.

There are also four dining options to choose from before or after your screamfest.

Combining local folklore with global horror elements and featuring new themes each year, the event ensures a thrilling and frightening experience for all.

Apart from the spooky offerings during this period of time, the park also has family-friendly events during festive seasons, such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and Christmas.

Unique scare zones

NOF10 will feature eight unique scare zones, each featuring a different theme with some taking inspiration from well-known horror media and history.

The haunted houses are:

  • Alice
  • Horrorwood Studios
  • The Bone Man
  • The Freezer
  • Silent Hill
  • Summer Camp Nightmares
  • Van Helsing
  • Whitechapel 2888

Here are some of the highlights you can look forward to:

Silent Hill

At the Silent Hill haunted house, fans of the famed survival horror video game can look forward to reliving their spooky adventures.

Dare to face the terrifying Nurse and Pyramid Head, navigating through dark, blood-soaked corridors where twisted creatures and eerie figures await at every turn.
