Family of 3 allegedly steals S$100 worth of Labubu dolls from claw machine in Sim Lim Square
The store owner just wants the dolls back in good condition.
A family of three allegedly stole S$100.70 worth of Labubu dolls from a claw machine store, Dr. Clawtopus, in Sim Lim Square on Oct. 27. 2024, at about 5pm.
The owner of Dr. Clawtopus, Cash Chong, shared with Mothership footage of the family apparently taking the dolls.
According to Chong, the family had broken the lock on a claw machine.
The three dolls were: A Halloween Labubu worth S$37.90, a Pronounce Labubu worth S$37.90, and a "Have a Seat" Labubu worth S$24.90.
Footage taken from the store showed the family tinkering with the claw machines, and seemingly trying to open one:

A screenshot of the family in the midst of breaking open the claw machine was uploaded to the store's Instagram page on Oct. 27.
Chong added that he had decided to only post the screenshot and not the entire footage of the family so as to not publicly call them out.
Chong said he hopes the family see the post and return the dolls.
He added that if the dolls are returned in good condition, he will not be taking any legal action.
A police report was made by the store on Oct. 28, 2024.
The police confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
