The Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) are investigating three incidents of gastroenteritis affecting 51 people after they consumed food supplied by Stamford Catering Services on Oct. 12, 2024.

As such, SFA has suspended Stamford Catering Services' operations at 24A Senoko South Road, effective Oct. 14, 2024, until further notice.

During the suspension, Stamford Catering Services must comply with measures, including cleaning and sanitising its premises, equipment, and utensils.

Before they can resume work as food handlers, all must re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 1 and test negative for foodborne pathogens.

The appointed Food Hygiene Officer working at the premises must also re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 3 before they can resume work as a Food Hygiene officer.

In response, Stamford Catering posted a statement on Facebook stating that they have taken immediate action and are working closely with the local health authorities on the matter.

"Please rest assured that the safety of our customers is our top priority. We have always adhered to stringent food safety protocols to ensure the quality of our catering services."
