S'porean man, 31, allegedly bit 2 LTA enforcement officers in Woodlands, hauled to court
It is unclear why he allegedly bit the officers.
A Singaporean man, 31, allegedly bit two Land Transport Authority enforcement officers.
The man also allegedly punched one of them in the face and neck several times.
Bryan Chang Yi Hsien was charged on Oct. 30 with two counts of voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty.
Bit and punched the LTA officers
The alleged incident occurred at about 3:45pm on Oct. 29 at a walkway in front of 888 Visual Optics at Blk 888 Woodlands Drive 50.
Chang is alleged to have punched one LTA officer in the face and neck several times and bit the officer on the shoulder.
Chang is also accused of biting the other LTA officer's right wrist.
Documents seen by Mothership did not indicate the reason why Chang allegedly hurt the officers, if any.
If found guilty, Chang could be jailed for up to seven years and fined or caned.
According to The Straits Times, Chang's case was adjourned till Nov. 27, 2024.
