A car that allegedly "belongs to Singapore" was found stuck at a beach in Port Dickson, a town located along Malaysia's west coast.
The scene was caught on camera by a content creator, Alexey Brock, who subsequently uploaded the footage onto Instagram on Oct. 29.
According to the video, seawater could be seen ebbing and flowing through the wheels of the black car, which carries a licence plate that starts with an "S".
The lower part of the car's wheels appeared to have sunk into the beach sands.
What happened
After filming his unusual discovery, Brock approached two men who were sitting near a wall along the beach and asked them what happened to the car.
In response, one of the men, who was dressed in a red top, identified himself as the driver and said the car "belongs to Singapore".
He told Brock that he was driving slowly along the beach when the car suddenly became stuck in the "wet sand".
When Brock asked whether the car was travelling too close to the ocean, the driver said the spot where he was initially driving on was "very, very far" from the water.
Instead, the driver blamed the tides, which he said had risen "suddenly", for soaking the sands and trapping the car.
Brock's video did not reveal why the driver decided to drive the car along the beach.
Car no longer at beach at night: Brock
At the end of the video, the driver told Brock that he would be pulling the car out.
While the driver had shared earlier that he was from Pakistan, Brock's video did not state explicitly whether the driver was also the car's owner.
In the post caption, Brock wrote that when he returned to the same place along the beach that night, the car was no longer there.
However, Brock stated that it remained unknown whether the car was towed away.
