PUB issues 21 flash flood risk alerts due to Monday morning heavy rain

PUB issued 21 flash flood risk warnings across the island on Monday morning, Oct. 14 due to heavy rain.

They were issued on X between about 8am and 9:15am in places such as Tanjong Katong, Bukit Timah, Boon Lay, Bedok, Joo Chiat Avenue, Ulu Pandan Road and Sunset Way.

The public is told to avoid these areas for at least one hour.

This was after the National Environment Agency (NEA) said at 7:55am that heavy rain was expected over northern, western and central areas of Singapore from 8:05am to 8:45am.

This was updated later as rain was also expected over southern, eastern and central areas from 8:40am to 10:15am.
