Defence lawyer Andre Jumabhoy 'unwell', Pritam Singh's trial adjourned to Oct. 23
Get well soon.
The trial for Workers' Party (WP) leader Pritam Singh has been adjourned till 2:30pm on Oct. 23.
One of Singh's defence lawyers, Aristotle Eng, applied for the adjournment, explaining that fellow lawyer Andre Jumabhoy was "unwell".
He had been given a medical certificate stating that he was unfit for court for two days, Eng said.
When Justice Luke Tan asked if the prosecution had any objections, Deputy Attorney-General Ang Cheng Hock said no and wished Jumabhoy a speedy recovery.
The trial will continue on Oct. 23 with former WP cadre Yudhishthra Nathan and former WP chief Low Thia Khiang expected to take the stand.
