A little girl's love letter to her mother was found tucked between the pages of an old book in a donation pile.

The Mothership reader who wrote in said that she found the book at the Mindful Space, an education centre for parents and children, in August this year.

Calling the note "too precious", she hopes to find the rightful owner so that she can return the note.

The reader had asked the centre if they knew the original owner of the book but they were unable to identify the owner.

The book, fittingly, is a parenting guide titled "What's Right? What's Wrong?: A Guide to Talking About Values for Parents and Kids".

According to this Amazon listing, the book was first published in 1999.

The note, written in a childlike handwriting, was addressed to "Mummy (W.T.S)" and signed by an "Evelyn. J. S". It read:

"Dear Mom, I know orange is your favourite colour, but I don't have it.

I just show you this card so you know how much I love you.

Hope you will keep this card forever. Love, Evelyn."

The girl appeared to have designed the purple card with some stickers as well.

If you are the mommy in question or know who may be the original owner of the book and/or note, you can reach out to Mothership at [email protected] or via our social media pages.
