Prime Minister Lawrence Wong was greeted with applause when he boarded a Scoot flight.
In a video by CNA reporter Leong Wai Kit on X, PM Wong could be seen boarding the plane and settling into his economy class seat in the front row.

On board the plane was a group of over 40 elderly Singaporean travellers who were on tour to Laos, Leong wrote.
Applause could be heard when PM Wong boarded, and the prime minister smiled and waved towards the back of the plane.
How much for a flight?
A check on the Scoot website revealed that a flight from Vientiane to Singapore, departing immediately, would cost around S$226.
If booked in advance, flight tickets costs around S$132, according to Skyscanner.
A front row seat would cost an extra S$10 on short-haul flights, according to a Scoot pricing chart.
What did PM Wong do in Laos?
PM Wong made a working visit to Vientiane, Lao PDR, from Oct. 9 to 12.
He attended the 44th and 45th Asean summit and related summits, which sought to address Asean's substantive and forward-looking agenda to enhance the bloc’s unity and resilience in the face of geopolitical and economic headwinds.
PM Wong and his Asean counterparts also discussed ways to expand Asean's engagement with a number of world leaders at the Asean Plus Three Summit and the 19th East Asia Summit.
He was also accompanied by Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
