Parts of Marine Parade were covered in ankle-deep floodwaters on Oct. 4.

This was after a contractor working on the pilecaps for the pedestrian overhead bridge near Marine Parade Community Centre accidentally damaged a water pipe.

The incident led to water flowing onto Still Road South and the common areas at Block 66 and 67 Marine Drive, the Land Transport Authority said in response to Mothership's queries.

The flooding started at about 11:30am.

A convenience store at Block 67 Marine Drive was also flooded and workers helped to scoop out the floodwater, but it returned after every few minutes.

This occurred as the store is located at the bottom of a hill.
