Overturned lorry spills many, many drinks onto SLE near Mandai
For those thinking "free drinks", no.
A lorry ferrying a large volume of beverages met with an accident while travelling along Seletar Expressway (SLE) near the Mandai Road exit.
The aftermath saw the road littered with drink cartons and packets, in what some opportune individuals identified as a "free drinks" galore.
The incident happened on the morning of Oct. 11.
Drinks everywhere
According to a Facebook post made around the same time, the truck had "overturned" and blocked two lanes.
Passersby were treated to the sight of "many free drinks on the road!!!"
The exact brands of the displaced drinks were not mentioned, though from photographs of the scene, they comprised a variety of canned, bottled and packet drinks.
In a video of the aftermath, some cartons were neatly stacked on the road shoulder while others were left strewn across the ground.
The site of the accident was cordoned off with traffic cones.

SCDF help not required
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that it was alerted to the incident at about 8:55am.
Several authorities in uniform and tow trucks were spotted at the scene.
According to police, the truck was believed to have self-skidded along SLE towards Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
The 51-year-old male lorry driver sustained minor injuries but refused to be sent to hospital.
SCDF added that its assistance was not needed in the end.
Police investigations are ongoing.
