Chen shared with Shin Min that the deceased's surname is Huang (transliteration from Chinese), and Huang's wife suffered a stroke approximately two years ago.

While the couple raised four sons and a daughter, neither Huang's wife or their children stayed with Huang after he became more "recluse and distant from his family".

"We are not sure why my father-in-law suddenly passed away," added Chen.

Volunteer found out deceased's passing
