Jaywalking woman, 64, hit by car in Jurong, driver assisting with police investigations
Traffic lights had just turned green in favour of the vehicles
A 64-year-old woman was hit by a car along Jurong Town Hall Road towards Jurong East Street 11.
According to the Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the pedestrian was conveyed conscious to the National University Hospital (NUH).
The Police and SCDF were alerted to the incident at about 6.10pm.
The accident involved a car and a pedestrian.
What the video showed
In the video, the woman can be seen jaywalking as the traffic lights turned green in favour of the vehicles.
She appeared to run across the road just as the vehicles started to move off.
The video also showed the scene after the collision, with a navy Toyota Prius stopped along the road, and the pedestrian laying in front of it.
A black car had also stopped behind the Prius.
Two people can be seen outside of their vehicles near the pedestrian.
The police said a 33-year-old male car driver is assisting with ongoing investigations.
