Thai-style dessert café from Melbourne with bingsoo & shokupan opens at Raffles City
Servings are designed to be shared.
Homm is a Thai-style dessert cafe from Melbourne that has recently opened in Raffles City.
Founded in February 2023, the cafe draws inspiration from popular Thai cafe concepts.
Homm currently has four locations in Australia and is recognised for its bingsoo and shokupan (Japanese milk bread) desserts.
Each of their desserts is infused with a unique Thai twist.
Here’s what we tried:
Thai Tea Avalanche Bingsoo (S$19.80++)
The bingsoo desserts at Homm have a light, snow-like texture.
This dessert features shaved Thai milk tea bingsoo base topped with whipped cheese, Thai tea sauce, freshly baked crumble, grass jelly, and Homm's Thai tea gelato.
Homm's Taro Bingsoo (S$19.80++)
Shaved taro bingsoo base, taro paste, handcrafted pumpkin boba, coconut meat, and salted coconut sauce.
This option is suitable for vegans.
Mango Shokupan (S$15.80++)
Brulee toasted Japanese milk bread topped with mango cubes, sweet and tangy mango puree, coconut sauce, and Homm's creamy coconut gelato.
Kaya Caramel Mochi (S$6.80++)
Exclusive to Singapore, this dish features gula melaka and pandan gelato, young coconut meat, and roasted coconut flakes.
Salted Egg Perdu (S$13.80++)
Whole salted egg yolk, mashed and seasoned, paired with Homm's coconut gelato.
The Pain Perdu is a French-inspired dish reminiscent of the classic deep-fried ice cream dessert.
A Singapore-exclusive brunch menu is set to launch in early 2025.
Yum.
