Emergency hotlines 999 and 995 have been restored, according to a Facebook post by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) at 6:48pm on Oct. 8, 2024:
SPF said:
"The earlier issue affecting the 995 and 999 emergency hotlines has been resolved. Members of the public may resume using the hotlines for emergencies.
We appreciate your understanding during the disruption."
The hotlines were earlier affected due to a widespread service outage of Singtel services.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said at 4:22pm a disruption to hotlines had occurred.
It advised members of the public who are experiencing difficulties calling 995 or 999 to message SCDF at 70995 or SPF at 70999 instead.
UOB & DBS services restored
UOB posted to Facebook at 6:30pm that its services have been restored since the outage:

Service outage
The outage occurred around 2pm to 4pm.
Customers experienced difficulties reaching hospitals, banks, and other businesses on their service lines.
At 5:06pm, Singtel said on X: "Our engineers have isolated the problem affecting our fixed voice services. Recovery measures are being rapidly deployed and services are progressively being restored."
