Multiple police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel were spotted at a block near Clementi MRT station, after a woman allegedly threatened to commit suicide during a quarrel with her partner, Shin Min Daily News reported.

The incident happened at Block 441A Clementi Avenue 3 on Oct. 7 at about 6:50pm, according to the SCDF, in response to Mothership's queries.

Police, ambulance and SCDF personnel seen at the block

A motorcyclist at the scene was quoted by Shin Min as saying that he had heard a couple quarrelling, and a woman apparently threatened to jump off a ledge.

This prompted her partner to call the police.

Another Shin Min reader said that while they did not know what exactly happened, they suddenly saw many police and SCDF personnel in the vicinity.

Photos that he had taken of the scene showed at least 10 SCDF personnel at the scene.

The eyewitness also said they were told by other members of the public nearby that someone had threatened to jump.

However, the reader said they did not see the SCDF inflate any air cushions on the ground.

When a Shin Minreporter visited the scene, they found about 30 to 40 members of the public on the ground, as well as an ambulance at the car park.

The police and SCDF then began to leave about an hour after the incident happened.

The SCDF told Mothership they had received a call for assistance.

However, there was no sign of a case upon their arrival at the location, the SCDF added.
