Toh Chee Hong, the 50-year-old suspect who allegedly murdered 41-year-old Winson Khoo, was brought back to the scene of the crime on the morning of Oct. 28.

The incident took place at Block 311B Clementi Avenue 4 on the evening of Oct. 21.

Area around the alleged crime scene was cordoned off

Police began condoning off the area where the alleged crime scene took place just before 10am, including the playground, roundabout drop-off point, as well as parts of the parking lot.

Part of the entrance to Block 311C — the building right across the incident — was also cordoned off.

Suspect arrived around 10:20am

The suspect arrived around 10:20am in a black police van dressed in a red polo shirt, black pants, and slippers.

Black restraints covered his wrists and ankles.

Accompanied by five plainclothed police officers, the suspect's head hung low as he was brought to a unit relevant to the case.

He was first brought to the roundabout drop-off point and then to the playground. Officers then brought him to the parking lot, and he was escorted back into the van.

The scene visit took approximately an hour and a half.

At specific points throughout the officers' questioning, the suspect would nod in response or point out specific areas of the crime to the police.

A female resident knew the victim

Curious onlookers — many who appeared to be nearby residents — gathered nearby as the police began bringing the assailant around the scene.

An older woman who wished to be anonymous told Mothership she knew the 41-year-old victim.

Khoo, vice-chairman of the Trivelis Residents' Network, had previously helped her repair her CCTV.

She said she saw the incident from her unit and was horrified.

Another onlooker, an elderly man, muttered it was an "unfortunate" situation as he watched officers bring around the suspect.

If convicted of murder, Toh faces the death penalty.
