Car flips onto its side along Simei Ave, male driver, 29, gets sent to hospital

A car flipped onto its side after an accident occurred along Simei Avenue on Oct. 15.

A passerby took a video of the aftermath of the incident and uploaded it on Facebook.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that the car was involved in an accident with another vehicle near the junction of Upper Changi Road East and Simei Avenue.

Car went turtle

The short clip showed the car flipped onto its right side with its boot popped open.

A second car was stalled behind it.

Items believed to have been from the boot of the overturned car were on the road, with other objects in the car displaced as well.

Parts of the car, including its side-view mirror, suffered damages.

Driver sent to hospital

Police said they were alerted to the incident at about 1:10pm.

A 29-year-old male car driver was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
