100 evacuated after fire breaks out at Buangkok condominium
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
100 people were evacuated after a fire broke out in a unit at the Park Green condominium in Buangkok on the evening of Oct. 6.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said in a Facebook post that they were alerted to the fire at 8 Rivervale Link at around 8:35pm.
No injuries were reported.
The fire
SCDF personnel arrived to find a fourth-floor condominium unit was on fire.
No one was inside the unit at the time.
The fire, which affected the living room and kitchen area, was extinguished by firefighters with two water jets.
However, the blaze caused the rest of the unit to sustain heat and smoke damage.
100 evacuated from neighbouring units
A video of the blaze was also shared to TikTok.
Residents from a nearby unit were seen peering at the fire from a nearby balcony.
A thick column of smoke was also billowing upwards from the affected unit.

About 100 people were evacuated from the neighbouring units, SCDF said.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
