Motorcyclist, 31, among 7 sent to hospital after bus, lorry & motorcycle accident in Tuas

Police investigations are ongoing.

Seven people were sent to hospital after an accident involving a bus, lorry and motorcycle in Tuas on Oct. 23 afternoon.

Among them was a 31-year-old motorcyclist.

The police confirmed with Mothership that the accident took place at the junction of Tuas Avenue 20 and Pioneer Road at around 5:40pm.

Aftermath

Photos of the accident scene published in Lianhe Zaobao showed the bus's windscreen was shattered, while the lorry's bonnet had caved in from the collision.

Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel, along with three emergency vehicles, were at the scene.

Another photo showed SCDF paramedics tending to a motorcycle rider lying on the ground.

Glass fragments were scattered on the road.

7 sent to hospital

Police confirmed that five bus passengers, aged between 31 and 69, a 39-year-old male lorry driver and a 31-year-old male motorcyclist were conveyed conscious to hospital.

Six of them were brought to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, while one person was conveyed to National University Hospital, SCDF said.

Another person was assessed for minor injuries by an SCDF paramedic, but declined to be sent to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
