A police vehicle travelling along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) hit a car while attempting to switch lanes on Sep. 25.
Footage from the dashboard camera of a passing vehicle captured how the scene played out.
Responding to Mothership's queries, the police said they were alerted to the incident at about 9:50am.
The incident happened along PIE towards Tuas.
The collision
In footage uploaded onto Facebook, a red police truck was driving along the second lane of the expressway.
A black car, observed to be a Toyota Altis, was travelling on the far left lane, before filtering into the third lane just to the left of the police truck.

However, it collided into the car.
The car was pushed forward and ended up skidding and stopping in front of the truck.
Some vehicle parts broke off and fell onto the road.
