A motorcycle was seen ablaze on the Bukit Timah Expressway, at the stretch close to the Woodlands Checkpoint on Jul. 28 night.

Images of the burning vehicle were shared to social media.

The motorcycle was seen at the left-most lane of the road leading away from the Causeway.

At least one video was taken from the perspective of passengers on a bus while travelling past the motorcycle.

Shin Min Daily News reported that two people were seen in the vicinity of the motorcycle at the time of the incident.

A fire truck subsequently arrived at the scene, along with several Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel.

In response to media queries, the SCDF confirmed that they were alerted to the incident at about 11:50pm.

The blaze was extinguished with a single water cannon.

No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
