M'sian police make 2 women do ear squats at roadside for riding motorcycle without helmet

We've all been at the receiving end of a humiliating punishment during our school days, one way or another.

From standing at the back or outside the classroom for forgetting to bring a textbook, or doing extra exercises for not wearing Physical Education (PE) attire, the older you get, the more juvenile they seem.

Perhaps a reminder of simpler times.

However, certain police officers in Malaysia were seen dealing out these "harmless" punishments to youth who flouted traffic regulations.

A video on TikTok captured a young woman performing ear squats at the side of the road, supposedly after they were caught riding their motorcycle through a police barricade without wearing their helmets.

The incident allegedly took place near Sungai Tapang, Kelantan.

In the TikTok, two women and their motorcycle can be seen parked at the side of the road behind a police barrier.

One woman, dressed in purple, can be seen doing squats with her hands to her ears.

"The police have a heart": commenters

A commenter pointed out that the police were kind enough to not hand them a summon.

"The police officer is a good guy. He didn’t have the heart to issue a summons. It’s also difficult for him, steady, police officer. Keep on doing your job responsibly," the comment read.

Another commenter pointed out that even if the police issued a fine to the young women, it would have little impact on them as their parents would be the one paying for it.
