PMD rider, 50, taken to hospital after collision with car in Yishun

A 50-year old woman was sent to the hospital following a collision with a car in Yishun on Jul. 6.

She was riding a personal mobility device (PMD) at the junction of Yishun Avenue 4 and Yishun Street 51 when the incident occurred at around 11:34am.

Dashcam footage shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page on Jul. 6 showed that the rider was crossing the road before she crashed into the car.

She could be seen slowing down as the car approached, but ended up colliding with its front left side.

The rider was flung onto the road from the impact but rose to her feet shortly.

The driver of the black car was also seen exiting the vehicle and addressing the rider, before the clip cut off.

Investigations ongoing

In response to Mothership queries, the Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the location at around 11:34am.

The rider was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in a conscious state.

A 46-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.
