Bob Saget has died at age 65.

The death of the comedian and actor was announced in a statement from the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida.

The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, the Sheriff's office said.

"Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case," the Sheriff's statement read.

Saget was in Florida as part of his comedy tour.

He had just performed Saturday night at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Saget was host of ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos clip show.

He had starred as the widowed father of three girls on Full House before that on the network.

He is known to television audiences for his roles in family-friendly fare.

His sitcom fame led to acting as narrator and the voice of future Ted Mosby on CBS's How I Met Your Mother, which ran until 2014.

Saget remained a fixture in stand-up comedy, where he went on the road to do shows, which allowed him to shed his family-friendly image.

He could be seen in The Aristocrats movie, which explored the competition among comics to tell the filthiest version of the same joke.

He also appeared in a guest role on HBO's Entourage playing himself.

CNN reported that Saget seemed to relish pushing back against his success in squeaky-clean shows, as he would tell dirty jokes at ABC events to make the executives squirm.

Saget was in the midst of a tour at the time of his death.

He was scheduled to perform in New York and Canada, as well as other locations over the next few months.
