177 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 90 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 180 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Wednesday (Sep. 1).

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore to 67,800.

177 locally-transmitted cases, 90 unlinked

There are 177 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection.

Of these cases, there are 54 linked cases and have already been placed on quarantine, while 33 were detected through surveillance.

90 are currently unlinked.

According to MOH, among the cases, one is a senior above 70-years-old who is unvaccinated and at risk of serious illness.

Three imported cases

In addition, there are three imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

The three cases developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
