Lee and Wang secured Taiwan's first-ever badminton gold at the Olympics.

Way back
Wang and Lee have known each other since they were"10 or 11".
Wang had jokingly said earlier this year, Jan. 2021, in an interview that he did not like Lee's skills at first because he was too good.
He also confidently predicted that Lee would remember his birthday, which was the day after they had secured the Yonex Open in Thailand (Jan. 17, 2021), because they had known each other for over 10 years.

Lee however had not bought him a gift, claiming the victory was good enough.
Like all good friends though, he eventually relented and said he would see what Wang needed.
Wang didn't hesitate one second.
Nice.
