New Covid-19 clusters at Tampines Bus Interchange & IMH

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 147 cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 infection on Monday (Aug. 30), as well as eight imported cases.

In total, there are 155 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore today.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore to 67,459.

68 active clusters

Two new clusters were identified today, while one other cluster has closed.

There are currently 68 clusters, ranging between three and 1,155 infections per cluster.

A total of 11 cases are of Tampines Bus Interchange staff, while six cases are linked to the Institute of Mental Health.

Overall increase in community cases

Overall, the number of new cases in the community has increased from 240 cases in the week before to 723 cases in the past week.

The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 91 cases in the week before to 173 cases in the past week.

The seven-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 78.6 and 24.7 respectively.

Condition of hospitalised cases

441 cases are currently warded in hospital.

There are currently 19 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and five in critical condition in the ICU.

Of those who have fallen very ill, 15 are seniors above 60 years, of whom nine are completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

Over the last 28 days, the percentage of unvaccinated who became severely ill or died is 9.3 per cent, while that for the fully vaccinated is 1.3 per cent.

Vaccination update

As of August 29, a total of 8,695,034 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered under the national vaccination programme (Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty and Moderna).

This covers 4,507,685 individuals, with 4,309,977 individuals having completed the full vaccination regimen.

In addition, 166,142 doses of other vaccines recognised in the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) have been administered as of August 29, 2021, covering 85,584 individuals.

In total, 80 per cent of our population has completed their full regimen or received two doses of Covid-19 vaccines, and 83 per cent has received at least one dose.
