M'cyclist dies along KJE after losing control of bike & getting hit by trailer truck

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A male motorcyclist, 37, was killed instantly after he lost control of his bike while travelling along Kranji Expressway, skidded, and was hit by a trailer truck that could not get out of the way in time.

Shin Min Daily News reported that the motorcyclist lost control of his bike due to the slippery road conditions as a result of the rain on Monday, July 5.

The incident occurred at about 7:49am at the Woodlands exit of the KJE towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).

The motorcyclist was riding ahead of the trailer before the accident occurred.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A blue tent was put up on the second left-most lane of the expressway.

Fragments from the motorcycle were seen scattered on the road.

The 43-year-old trailer driver is assisting the police with investigations.
