A 14-year-old cat owner in Singapore is looking to harness the power of social media after her pet has gone missing.

An appeal for information on the "dumbass cat" was put up on Instagram on June 26, about two days after the feline disappeared at Blk 865 Woodlands Street 83.

Can't offer a good reward as owner's a "broke 14-year-old student"

According to the owner, who goes by the handle of @verylazypers0n, Coco the cat decided to venture outside despite being afraid of everything.

Some identifiers include brown on white fur that sheds all the time and a tail like a feather duster.

The owner added that she loves her "f*cking weird" cat to death and urged anyone who has seen him to reach out to her.

"I can't really offer a good reward cause I'm a broke 14-year-old student so the best I can give you is like S$15 or a bubble tea."

Although the appeal was put up a week ago, it appears that Coco has yet to be tracked down.

Comments from the owner as recent as one day ago (July 3) reveal that she could not find the cat even after checking the entire block.

She also intends to paste posters on every floor of the block.
